Hailed by the NY Times as 'a robust baritone', and winner of the prestigious 35th Oratorio Society of NY Vocal Competition, Canadian baritone Jonathan Estabrooks continues to build on an already impressive resume of vocal works, genre and venues. 

A graduate of The Juilliard School, he appeared in The Song Continues 2012 masterclass series with Marilyn Horne at Carnegie Hall and the New York Festival of Song' NYFOS NEXTseries with Joseph Thalken and Broadway legend Rita Gardner. He made his Opera Lyra Ottawa debut as Silvio in Pagliacci to rave reviews and is in production as Schaunard in a film adaptation of Puccini's La Boheme. This season has seen multiple debuts including Finzi's In Terra Pax with the Greenwich Choral Society and a world premiere by Rob Mathes.  He has been heard in concert in Ottawa, New York, Blacksburg, Sewanee and Miami Beach and joined pianist Steve Blier and singers Kelli O'Hara and Joseph Kaiser for the NYFOS Spring Gala at Carnegie Hall.  

In addition to numerous mainstage Opera roles (Guglielmo, Pelleas, Papageno), highlights have included featured performances with NAC Orchestra (Pinchas Zukerman), and featured performances at Alice Tully, with The Kennett Symphony, the Ethical Culture Society, Caramoor Center for the Arts and City Center. His performances have been broadcast throughout Canada on CBC Television. He has performed for Governor Generals and Prime Ministers of Canada, the US Ambassador to Canada and President Bill Clinton.
